FAQ

Clear answers about public TikTok links, available downloads, and how files are saved in your browser.

What does ShortIntel do?

It prepares available video files and cover images from a public TikTok video link, so you can save them in your browser.

Do I need a TikTok account?

No. The downloader works from public TikTok URLs and does not ask you to connect a TikTok account.

Which links work?

Paste a public TikTok video link copied from the app or website. Standard video links and share links are supported.

Can I download the cover image?

Yes. When the source provides a public cover image, it appears as its own download option after the link is prepared.

Why is a video unavailable?

Private, deleted, region-restricted, login-only, or source-blocked posts may not provide an available file.

Where are files saved?

Your browser saves files to its normal downloads folder or asks you to choose a location, depending on your browser settings.

Do I need an account?

No. The public-link workflow does not require a TikTok login or a ShortIntel account.
